CCI-LEX is looking for a passionate, creative content creator to assist with the creation of an online training hub for our volunteers!
Program Assistant: 30h/week; 9 weeks: June 29 – August 28, 2026

Cultural Connections Institute-The Learning Exchange (CCI-LEX) is a charitable organization in downtown Edmonton that empowers adult newcomers to connect to the community through English Language instruction and cultural exchange. Visit our website www.cci-lex.ca .
The Learning Exchange (LEX) Program provides English language training to landed immigrants, citizens, and refugees. The LEX Program is taught by a team of 90+ volunteer instructors who are recruited, trained, and supported and by the Program team.
Key Responsibilities:
Working under the direction of the LEX Program Team, the Program Assistant will assist in the set up of a Learning Management System (LMS) and creation of course content that will serve as a training hub for our volunteers.
- Create video content, including how-to videos for use of in-house technology
o responsible for all aspects of video creation including logistics, such as procuring volunteer actors and organizing schedules, writing script, shooting, editing, and uploading - Create digital presentations, such as PowerPoint presentations, of learning content
- Develop quizzes based on above content to assess volunteer learning and understanding of content
- Assist with set up of LMS
o Design visually appealing home page (if time allows)
o Organize content, complete with summaries of the course, modules, and lessons
Support creation of video training guides for students (if time allows)
Qualifications:
- Education in Education, Communications, Media Studies/Video Production, Web design or a related field desired
- Experience and/or training in video content creation required
- Experience with Zoom as a host required (Advanced user preferred)
- Proven PowerPoint skills required (Advanced user preferred)
- Familiarity with LOFT interactive displays would be an asset
- Experience creating, administering, and grading quizzes would be an asset
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) required
- Proven organizational and time-management skills; attention to detail required
Requirements: 18-30 years of age; citizen or permanent resident of Canada (international students and temporary residents ineligible)
Terms of Employment: $22/hour; 30h/wk; June 29 – August 28, 2026; 4 or 5 days a week, Monday to Friday; primarily daytime, some evening hours may be required, on-site work required
